My bones hold so many stories of survival over the years.

All of us.

Just meat sacks our skeletons carry from one day into the next.

I overheard someone say recently how our bones are ‘wet’. Something that I never thought of or even considered. When I think of the skeleton, I think about what I’ve seen in museums. Still, brittle, porous.

But our bones are wet. Moist. Rivers flowing under the surface of other rivers circulating under our skin.
